Are they insured for Public Liability and Workcover?
This is very important as to minimise your risk in case of accidents on the job
Does your company use sub contractors?
Important because if the work is subbed out to a contractor the total price starts to get divided up and the worker on your job will receive less money and can provide an inferior job.
Ask for a clear written quotation.
Eg: How many coats will be applied?,
Is the paint you use a Premium paint?
Is it the best paint the paint supplier provides?
Ask for written exclusions in the quotation
A clear written price which includes GST and the amount of GST
“Always” have the exterior surfaces washed prior to painting
Ask for references from previous clients
Read the quotation carefully
Provide a clear list of what needs painting and hand that to each painter quoting on your job.
